The International Carnival of Maspalomas opens registration for its big parade

The City of San Bartolome de Tirajana puts information and contest rules available to participants through the municipal website www.maspalomas.com

The City of San Bartolome de Tirajana open the application deadline and registration for participants who wish to participate and compete in the grand parade on Maspalomas International Carnival 2016, dedicated this year to the golden age of ‘Hollywood’ on Thursday.

To facilitate convenient and direct access of stakeholders to information they need, the Department of Festivities and events that directs the mayor José Carlos Alamo has posted on the municipal website www.maspalomas.com bases, requirements and forms to be Participants meet.

The deadline for submission of documents is Monday 15 February. However, the organization warns that the term Carnival could close earlier in the event that the quota of floats and the volumetric capacity of the parade was completed. “First of all we try to ensure the safety and operational priority for the event can take place with absolute normality elements,” says José Carlos Alamo.

The delivery of documentation (original and one copy) must be carried out as in previous years at the offices of the local police, Monday through Friday, 8:00 to 20:00. The route of the parade on Saturday 27 February, will start at 17:00 at the entrance to Playa del Ingles by El Veril, and run through the streets of Gran Canaria and to finish in the Tirajana Avenue

The Maspalomas International Carnival 2016, which this year dedicates his ideas to the Hollywood film industry, will be held from Friday 19 February to Sunday 28 February.
