El Faro de Maspalomas opens its 10th Handicraft Fair

 

Inaugurated this Friday by representatives of the City Council of San Bartolomé de Tirajana and the Cabildo, the exhibition will be open until Sunday 20 August, from 5 pm to 11 pm

 

Institutional representatives of the City Council of San Bartolomé de Tirajana and the Cabildo of Gran Canaria have inaugurated this Friday the 10th Fair of Handicraft Faro de Maspalomas.

The event, which involves a total of 62 artisans from the island, is organized until next Sunday, August 20, the Foundation for Ethnography and Craft Development of the Canary Islands (Fedac).

During the fair, which opens daily from 5:00 pm to 11:00 pm, attendees will meet with a representative sample of traditional crafts and new craft creations on the Island.

Among the works that can be admired and also acquired in this summer craft fair include products of blacksmithing and forging, ceramics, felt, leather, crocheting, binding, modeling, miniatures, cigars, toys, wristbands, glassware, carpentry, jewelry, recycling, decoration Fabrics, cutlery, woodwork, paper and cardboard, macrame, ceramics, fashion, tiles, cooperage, embroidery and textiles and soap.

The Faro Maspalomas Craft Fair, in its spring and summer editions, stands out as one of the main promotional, promotional and commercial events for the craft trades of the island of Gran Canaria.
